This Privacy Policy explains how Mockvia ("we", "us", "our"), operator of mockvia.com, collects, uses, and protects your information. By using Mockvia, you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information We Collect
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. Passwords are securely hashed and never stored in plain text.
3. Resume Data
Resumes you upload are processed temporarily for the interview session only in order to generate tailored interview questions. They are never permanently stored on our servers and are discarded once your session ends.
4. Job Titles & Descriptions
Any job title or job description you provide is used solely to generate interview questions for that session. We do not retain this content for any other purpose.
5. AI Processing (Anthropic Claude)
Mockvia uses Anthropic Claude AI to process interview data — including resume text, job descriptions, generated questions, and your answers — in order to produce questions and evaluations. Data sent to Anthropic is handled under their API privacy terms.
6. Data Storage (Supabase)
We use Supabase to securely store user account information (name, email, hashed password, and authentication metadata). Supabase provides encryption in transit and at rest.
7. We Never Sell Your Data
We never sell user data to third parties. We only share data with the service providers strictly needed to operate Mockvia (such as Anthropic for AI processing and Supabase for account storage).
8. Cookies
Mockvia uses cookies for authentication only — to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
9. Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing support@mockvia.com. We will process deletion requests promptly.
10. Children's Privacy
Mockvia is not intended for children. Children under 13 are not permitted to use the service. If we learn we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice.
